A book about how to escape??? Hehe, sorry, I couldn't resist. I love the name of your blog. Sorry I can't help with your question, I'm not a big reader... but if you haven't read The Poisonwood Bible yet, that's a good read. Happy 6WS

Read any book you like to read and won't fall sleep easily, or read other people's blog, from one jump to another one. For me, during the time out of office hours, I like to read anything just not related to my work.

I'm still waiting for my library book - "Down Around Midnight: A Memoir of Crash and Survival." I can't comment on how good it is yet, but I've heard it has some incredible writing. Hope whatever you find, knocks your socks off!

I recommend The Guinea Pig Diaries by A J Jacobs. He has 2 other books, one in which he lives an entire year by biblical rules and another in which he reads the entire set of encyclopedia Britannica. It's funny and reflective .

My favourite authors have new books out - James Patterson, and Nick Sparks. Both were a bit different for the authors, but quite good.

The Memory Keepers Daughter has been out for a while, but if you haven't read it, you should.

Can't think of any others just now, but there are so many great ones to choose from! Happy reading!

If you haven't read it yet... Same As A Different Kind of Me (it's excellent!)

Whatever you read,
make sure it is a good book,
not just some cheap trash!

I vote for The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield if you haven't read it. Appropriately mysterious for this time of year.

Thanks for playing!

scary or fantasy books aren't the genre that i usually read so i don't have any suggestions of something that might go with the season. you could probably go to a bookstore and they'd have a display of such books.

thinking of halloween, i did think of witches and then thought of WICKED. good luck.
