Kid Speak

The other day I was looking in my kitchen cabinets and my Kiddo walked up to me.

Kiddo: What are you doing, Mom?

Me: I'm looking for Sauce.

Kiddo: What kind of sauce?

Me: Alfredo sauce.

Kiddo: You're afraid of sauce??

Me: No, not A-Fraid of sauce. Al-Fre-Do sauce.

I thought it was amusing.  Have a great day!

Random Tuesday Thoughts!

I am feeling so Random today! I wonder why? Oh! It must be Tuesday! So, are you feeling Random too? If you are then you really should grab the Random box below, stop by Keely's blog and link up!

randomtuesday

1. I LOVE Cadburry Cream Eggs!! I like the caramel ones too but the Cadburry is classic! They are one of the greatest things at this time of year!

2. We dyed a few eggs the other day. We'll do more sometime this week. What is your favorite method of dying eggs? I'm a fan of food coloring and a q-tip myself.

3. As I type this the Kiddo is watching The Imagination Movers. I like this show. I'm glad he likes this show. It could be worse, he could be addicted to Sponge Bob (Well, if I ever let him watch it . . . )

4. Do you do Easter Baskets? We do. Do you buy one that's already assembled or do you create your own? I love building a basket for my Kiddo. It's almost as much fun as watching him disasemble it!

5. I love it when my Kiddo just randomly and out of the blue says "I love you, Mom!" I tell him "It makes me feel all gooey inside." Hehe. I love that Kid!

6. Just to take a bit of a poll . . . Does anyone watch or know someone who watches Supernatural?

7. I'm using TweetDeck now. I really like it! My only complaint is that I can't see the Trending Topics list.

8. The Kiddo and I are leaving next week to visit family in Pennsylvania! I am so excited! It's been a year since I've seen my parents. Far. Too. Long.

9. J was watching Two and a Half Men last night. Everytime Chelsea talked to Charlie he had a ton of other stuff going through his head and had no idea what she was saying. I asked J "Is that what goes on in your head while I'm talking?" He just laughed. Seems as though it is . . .

Have a great Tuesday everyone!!

Last Ever?

Jim Beaver (Supernatural, Harper's Island, etc . . .) posted this on his Facebook page. It looked like a bit of fun so I thought I would steal it.

Okay, here's the proposition: It's your last day on earth. You get the following choices:

1. Last meal ever

2. Last DVD to watch

3. One person outside your family (living or dead) to talk to

4. Last song to hear

5. Last words.

Jim's answers:

1. Penne calamari from California Canteen in L.A.

2. "Murder He Says" (except it's not on DVD yet)

3. George Reeves ("Come on, man, you can tell me. I'm gonna find out in a minute anyway.")

4. "Please Don't Bury Me" by John Prine

5. "But I come back to life next season, right?"

Now my answers:

1. Lobster Tail with Shrimp Scampi from Red Lobster.

2. Hard, either Little Women or Pride and Prejudice

3. Outside my family? Christina.

4. All For Love by Rod Stewart, Bryan Adams and Sting

5. I Love You!

Mario. No, Really.

I was surfing the internet just looking for some random articles hoping that it would jog something in my brain for some blog posts.

Google sent me to some article about Nintendo and how Mario was first called Jumpman. Yea, not really what I was looking for so I headed for Wikipedia and clicked on Random article.

Guess what?

MARIO! By the way his name was first supposed to be Jumpman.

How strange that in the whole wide internet it sent me to Mario twice.

I used to play Mario all the time when I was a kid. Super Mario Brothers 3 was my favorite one. I also like the first one and Duck Hunt. I was good at shooting down those ducks.

I wonder what it would be like to pick up a controller for the original Nintendo and play some Mario Brothers. Nostalgic.

Pet Peeve

Pet Peeves

Yes, I have some pet peeves.

WHY do people drive the Wrong way down parking lot lanes? It's so simple, there are Arrows for crying out loud. Get out of my way.

Don't use metal anything on my frying pans. I like them to work, thanks.

Please leave the paper inserts in my DVD's and CD's in tact. Why? I'm not sure, just do it.

The sofa pillows AND the bed pillows belong on the sofa and the bed, Not the floor. Let's work on that, shall we?

Why do my piles of folded laundry attract you? They're not pillows or mountains. Don't lay on them or climb them. Thanks.

Random screeching for apparently no reason at all. Really? Really?!

If the trash bag is full and you try to put something in it and it just doesn't seem to want to fit maybe you should take that bag out and put a new, empty bag in? Just a thought.

Haha, not complaining really. Just a few thoughts. Have a nice day!

HGotW: Mark Sheppard

I mentioned on Twitter and here a while back that I was going to do some HGotW posts that were specifically my taste. I mean, I KNOW there are others out there who will agree with me on todays post. What I meant by specifically my taste is that although Channing Tatum is, I'm sure, super hot to many people I'm not really one of them. His was kind of a gift post for others.

I'm not sure what makes certain guys hot or sexy to me. I know it has something to do with their eyes and their smile and their voice and how they conduct themselves in interviews and such.

Today's HGotW I really discovered on Leverage but I'd actually seen him around before that. (It seems he's in everything.) The character he plays on Leverage is awesome. He's one of those you love to hate and you know it's ALWAYS going to be more interesting when he shows up.

Also, if you want to be picky you could say I'm continuing my Supernatural theme because he's been in that too.

He has one of the coolest voices ever. Very unique and recognizable. I read on twitter someone describe him as "Mr. My Voice is Mesmerizing as H***" Seriously, no joke there.

Alright, enough talk. This weeks HGotW (Should I turn "Hot" to "Sexy" maybe?) . . .

Mark Sheppard

If you're here looking at this going "Where do I know him from?" then you really should check out his imdb page because chances are he was in your favorite television show at least once.

He's also on Twitter @Mark_Sheppard.

Also, if you're a fan then you should check out Mark Sheppard Fans. A site created by a nice woman named Sandra. There's a message board and everything! (I'm a sucker for a message board!)

Once again I picked the girl this week because I think she's awesome. She's cute and adorable and a great actress. She's also one of my favorite guests on Craig Ferguson. Very funny.

Kristen Bell

Kristen Bell can also be found on Twitter @IMKristenBell.

Thanks for stopping by. I think this is one of my favorite HGotW posts.

 Have a great day!

Are You Kidding ME?!

My name is Toni and I am a geek.

Since I was a kid I loved Star Trek and Star Wars and Babylon 5 (I haven't seen Battlestar Galactica yet, but I'm working on it.) and all that kind of stuff.

I haven't watched as much of this stuff recently as I used to. I used to watch Star Trek all the time. I could live off it. I had books and I dressed as a Starfleet officer one year for Halloween. (I told you, Geek.)

I always wanted to go to a convention. I just thought they looked like the coolest, most fun things. What a blast I would have at one of those. However, they were never near me and I actually really didn't look too much into it because they cost money. (What is the deal with everything costing money?)

I haven't thought about going to a convention in a loooooooooooooong time. Recently though I was on a message board for an actor that I really like. His work is great (and he's in everything). ANYWAY, I noticed that he was going to be in Tulsa at a Convention. Trek Expo 2010.

I nearly hyperventilated. Okay, not really but I got excited. Tulsa isn't too terribly far away from where we are and I figured if we left early Saturday morning we could make it there, hang out all day and then drive home Saturday night. Wouldn't even have to pay for a hotel.

I told J about it (With promises of appearances by Smallville and V actors) and he was very interested. The only problem was securing a babysitter for that day. I asked J to talk to his Mom and see if she would babysit for us. She's awesome and usually agrees to come (we do have to give her money for gas to get here because she's married to a . . . oh, that's a different blog.) so I allowed myself to get a bit more excited.

Today I hear J ask he about sitting. She says "That's in June!" (Yes and I would like to get reasonable tickets, she's a very last minute person, not sure she sees my point here.) Then she adds that she might like to go.

Of course that's her right, but now I have to babysitter. So, I tell J "If she decides to go You're staying home and babysitting because I'm going." This is something I have wanted forever.

He, of course, says. "Hah! I'm going! I'm not staying home!"

Cue a slightly ticked off ME.

So, to sum up. I've always wanted to go to one of these, not to mention the opportunity to meet Mark Sheppard. It was my idea, I did all the research. And I'm going to be the one sitting home and babysitting while my Husband and Mother-in-Law go have fun. Some how this isn't adding up . . .

(This makes me sound really selfish doesn't it? I'm really not that selfish, I Promise.)

Random Tuesday Thoughts!

Happy Random Tuesday!! I hope you're having a great day! Are you feeling random? If you are then you should grab the box below and join the random fun at Keely's blog!

randomtuesday

1. Trek Expo in Tulsa. Anyone ever been there? Think we might try to make it this year. I want to see Mark Sheppard and I'm dragging J along with the promise of Smallville related . . . stuff.

2. I missed the Leverage convention (ConCon) in Portland last weekend. I really wanted to be there but there were a lot of kind people tweeting from the event. That helped a bit. Thanks all you kind tweeters!

3. When Wikipedia says "Random article" they really aren't kidding. What happened in Canada in 1998? You can find out on Wikipedia! How many highways are named Highway 552? Wiki will tell you!!

4. In case you have problems understanding the questions on the Census there is a number you can call. I know that sometimes those "Name" and "Race" questions can be challening. I have a thought. I'm really curious what they would do if someone called them and said "How do I know what year I was born?" Maybe I'll find out . . .

5. Just a tad over two weeks before the Kiddo and I head home to Pennsylvania for a Long overdue visit! I'm so excited!

6. Back to the Leverage convention. IFmagazine.com streamed a few of the panels online for those of us not fortunate enough to attend. One of the panels was made up of Dean Devlin, Jon Rogers and Chris Downey. That was an excellent panel. Someone asked a question about writing. Dean Devlin said "Write fast." Whatever you write, write it fast so later when you go back to edit it you're not as attached to it as you would be if you spent ages and ages trying to get it just right. I thought that was great advice. Made lots of sense. I also heard someone say later on that just being in the same room with those guys makes your IQ go up. After hearing them talk, I tend to agree.

7.  So, a neutron walked into a bar and said "I’d like a drink, please." After the bartender gave him one, he said "How much will that be?" "For you?" said the bartender "No charge." .......

8. Two sodium atoms are walking down the road chatting. All of a sudden, one stops and turns to its friend looking worried Oh, no... I ...think I've lost an electron! What... are you sure? Yes, I'm positive!"

Have a great Random Tuesday Everyone!!

Venus

I was on Facebook tonight and one of my freinds posted a bunch of pictures of her cats.

One of them was pure black and it made me think of my Kitty back home in Pennsylvania. Her name is Venus.

She is the sweetest cat ever. She's never hissed or slapped at me, not ever. I would have brought her here but J is allergic to cats. (Why did I marry him? Just kidding)

I wonder what a cat's memory is like. Does she remember me each year when I go back? Is she being so sweet to me when I pet and cuddle her because she remembers me and she misses me. Or is she being sweet because SOMEONE is petting and cuddling her?

I like to think it's because she misses me.

All Alone. :)

I mentioned in my Six Word Saturday post that I was going to Winter Jam.

I changed my mind. J went but the Kiddo and I stayed home.

It was kind of nice (especially when I slept and wasn't woken up ONCE by anyone kicking me or pulling all the covers off of me. Hehe.

then J called this afternoon to say that he was staying until Monday. Another night of the bed to myself.

Win!

Six Word Saturday!

It's Saturday! Can you describe your life in six words? If you can and you want to then you should grab the box below and head to Cate's blog.

To Winter Jam tonight. Long Drive.

That is IF the weather cooperates. We'll see . . .

Which Excercise?

Just a very short post . . . because for some reason I can't let myself go to bed before I type here. Maybe I need someone to tell its about quality and not really quantity . . .

Anyway, I've been working my butt off (well, trying to anyway) at the gym for ages now. My stomach seems to be going away a little and I'm definitely developing muscles in my arms that I've never seen before.

My problem is that I can't seem to lose the thighs. That's really what I want gone the most. I want to buy clothes that fit my waist and not clothes that have to fit over my thighs first. (I hope you know what I mean there, sounded nearly clear as mud to me.)

So, if anyone out there in the wide world of internet has any suggestions on excercises that would help shed the weight in the legs, I'm ALL ears.

I appreciate ANY advice you may have to offer! Thanks!

HGotW: Jared Padalecki

Since last weeks HGotW post featured Jensen Ackles I figured I would continue the Supernatural theme and feature the other "brother" this week.

When I first started watching Supernatural I was sure that Dean (Jensen Ackles) was going to be my favorite Winchester brother. He was hot and cocky I just liked him. Also, I had seen Jared Padalecki on Gilmore Girls as Dean, Rory's boyfriend and I have to say, I hated that character. So, I was coming into Supernatural with Padalecki's Dean in the back of my head.

However, the more I watched Supernatural the more Dean irritated with his attitude and his macho act and not showing any emotions. And the more I watched the more I loved Sam. He was sweet and smart and not macho at all and much more my type than Dean.

Not that I don't love Dean too. He's got a big heart but he hides it behind a lot of irritating macho. Anyway, that's enough Supernatural talk. Here's this weeks HGotW . . .

Jared Padalecki

He has really cute eyes. I think anyway.

I also figured I would take the theme right on into the girl I've chosen for today. Not only was she also in Supernatural she is also the brand new Mrs. Padalecki.

Genevieve Cortese

Thanks so much for visiting today. I hope you enjoyed the selection! Have a great day!

Random Tuesday Thoughts!

Are you feeling random? I am. If you are why don't you grab the little box below and join the fun over at Keely's blog! go be Random!

randomtuesday

1. J's been watching Heroes on Netflix recently. That show is royally confusing.

2. Flashforward comes back THURSDAY! I'm a tad excited, in case you couldn't tell . . .

3. I'm soooo sad. The Leverage convention starts on Friday (Well, kind of Thursday  night) and I'm not going to be able to be there. I had planned on going from the moment I heard about it (about 9 months ago) but then J had his knee surgery and couldn't work. No work means no money to save. The closer it gets the more sad I get.

4. TiVo is awesome. Are you tired of hearing me say that yet?

5. Netflix posted a question on Facebook yesterday. It said something like "You woke up this morning with power. You have the ability to Make the next Clooney or Bullock. Which underrated actor do you choose?" This is a hard question, I think, there are so many excellent actors out there that no one knows. Who would you choose?

6. J ordered a television series from a website. When it arrived (from China) it was in two boxes with a ton of DVD's that were written on my hand. When we attempted to play it we found that it was a M E S S . The theme song that played over the opening credits was wrong and had been replaced with "It's a Wonderful World." What the . . . ? On top of that the video and audio was not in sync and there was what looked like digital distortion all over the whole thing. We contacted the website and they told us we could return it but we wouldn't get our shipping back. How much shipping did we pay? TWENTY dollars! How much does the little box that came from China say the shipping cost? Eleven bucks. I'm unhappy.

7. Did You Hear About the Morgans comes out on DVD today. I didn't get to see it while it was in theatre's I may just have to rent that.

8. Wednesday is St. Patrick's Day! Don't forget to wear some green! I love St. Patrick's Day. It may very well be my second favorite holiday! (Visiting Ireland is totally on my bucket list.)

9. Beth over at C. Beth Blog is having a giveaway. Yummy Earth Organic Lollipops. Check it out!

Well, I guess that's all my random for today. Have a great Random Tuesday!

Is There a Hole in my Brain?

You know earlier I was laying in a tanning bed (yes, I go to a tanning bed, otherwise I couldn't wear any summer clothes because the whiteness of my skin would blind people) and I was thinking of a blog post.

It had the makings of a perfect post, points and entertainment. I was very happy with it.

What was this wonderful post, you ask?

I wish I freakin' knew!

There's not a lot of ways to write down thoughts when you're laying in a tanning bed. By the time I was done, out of there and home I had completely forgotten all about what it was that I was creating in my head.

I'm telling you. I need to invest in a little tiny recorder that I can carry around in my pocket and whip it out when I come up with a brilliant blog post.

A Bit of Proverbs

I was reading my Bible today and came across this verse:

"Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge." Proverbs 14:7

Peoples, when someone is giving you advice you know is bad, walk away. It can't end well if you don't. Also, I wouldn't recommend hanging out with that person for extended periods of time.

Just a little thought for Sunday. (And yes, it's still Sunday here for two more minutes.)

General Rantiness

I recieved some news yesterday from my cousin back home in Pennsylvania. Well, actually she mentioned on Facebook that was glad she didn't hang out at a particular place where we all used to go anymore because there is too much drama there.

Of course I was extremely curious so I sent her a text right away and asked what was going on.

People getting into other people's business and trying to ruin their lives, that's what was going on!

I'm so cranky about this whole thing! Why is it that some people think they have the right to get involved in other people's personal decisions.

It is not up to you who dates whom! Butt the heck out!

/rant (for now)

HGotW: Jensen Ackles

Welcome to HGotW! Thursdays are so much fun around here!

Since I mentioned in Tuesday's blog that I've been watching Supernatural I decided to feature one of "the boys" here today. Don't worry I'll get to the other one another week, for sure.

There are SO many good pics of this guy I'm kind of sad that I only feature six . . .

I've seen this guy around before I started watching Supernatural and of course I thought he was hot. So here he is. This weeks Hot Guy . . .

Jensen Ackles

Well there he is. Definitely fits into my Hot Guy category!

This weeks girl I picked because I think she's awesome and beautiful. (And she was absolutely right about TiVo! I LOVE it!)

Alyson Hannigan

Follow her on Twitter at @alydenisof.

I hope you enjoyed this weeks HGotW. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Spring, Already?

We've had some beautiful weather the past couple days. My windows have been open and it's been so nice.

I like Spring. I like the freshness and the warmer days and the Easter feel that everything has. What I don't like is the fact that Summer follow Spring.

And around here we don't even have to wait for the official Summer season for things to get Summerish.

It starts to get HOT and the bugs all come out. Yuck.

Eventually our air conditioner will be running all the time and our electric bill will be massive. And all the freshness and the new feeling will wear right off.

Can't I keep the Fall and Winter weather around a little while longer? Please?

Random Tuesday Thoughts!

It's Tuesday! That means it's time for some Random! I love Tuesdays! I can get all those little things, that are too small for a whole post, off my brain. If you're interested in participating grab the little box below and pop over to Keely's blog!

randomtuesday

1. I turned on the tv the other morning and there was a show on (duh). It was halfway over and it immediately caught my attention. And thanks to my wonderful new TiVo I was able to rewind it and watch it all the way from the beginning. Now, I'm hooked. How have I never watched Supernatural before? Of course, we don't get the CW (And I'm not complaining because if we did I would be forced to watch Smallville because J likes it. I just don't think I could deal with that. All the sexiness (Michael Rosenbaum) is gone from that show. Not worth it anymore.) So, I will watch on TNT and online when I can. Maybe I'll just get the DVD's from Netflix.

2. Took our car to the Ford place and they said that they would be the only ones that would be able to fix it and it was going to cost us 2,000 dollars! What the heck?! So, after I nearly cried and then prayed and then called around we found a wonderful place that told us they could also fix our car (even though according to Ford no one else would be able too) and it was only going to cost aroudn 600 dollars! God bless Main Tire!

3. I've been trying to please the majority with my HGotW posts but I don't always have the same taste as others. Actually my taste is way off. I used Channing Tatum one week for my friend and cousin but he's really not my kind of guy. Sean Bean is my kind of guy. Anyway, two things. 1. I'm accepting suggestions for guy to be featured in HGotW and 2. Look for some posts that are specifically my taste (I'm thinking Mark Sheppard and Tim Hutton may be showing up sometime soon.)

4. I used to play this game called Sims. Over time my discs got lost or extremely scratched and I couldn't play anymore. Well, recently I found Sims 2 on sale so I picked it up. Brings back memories. The only problem is I think J has been playing it more than me.

5. I. Love. My. TiVo. It's an amazing piece of equiptment! What did I do without it? Lots of love. Highly recommended. Actually, it came highly recommended. Alyson Hannigan (Yes, from How I Met Your Mother) told me it was the "best thing ever for TV" (Yea, that made my day.)

Have a great Random Tuesday!!

Random? I've got Random

I'm sitting here staring at the screen trying to decide what to write. I have a hundred random thoughts (Supernatural, Sims 2, TiVo, Car repairs, HGotW etc) but I think I'll save them for tomorrow's random tuesday thoughts.

Why is it that sometimes my head is swimming with ideas for blogs (usually when I'm driving in my car and 30 minutes from my computer) and other times (when I'm actually sitting in front of my computer) there is nothing.

Well, if I've peaked any interest at all with my very random thoughts up there come back tomorrow and read all about it.

Academy Awards

Oscar Observations (Bear in mind that at the time of this writing the actual ceremony is not over yet.)

Best Dressed Female: Anna Kendrick, Demi Moore Elizabeth Banks. Kathryn Bigelow looked very nice too.

Best Dress Male: Okay, is it just me or do they mostly look alike? I liked Ben Stiller's tux. Umm, Taylor Lautner always looks great (He's a cutie.) Oh! Robert Downy Jr. looked Good!

Worst Dressed Female: Sarah Jessica Parker. Was she wearing a shower curtain?

Worst Dressed Male: Once again, I didn't really notice. They look the same to me, for the most part.

I was dissapointed that Anna Kendrick lost, I like her.

Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin were pretty entertaining. Of course they're no Billy Crystal. He could host!

It was nice to see Neil Patrick Harris. I love that guy, he's super entertaining.

Oh! During the tribute to the Horror films. Can someone please tell me why there was a clip of A. Bettlejuice (Because, I really don't horror when I see that film) and B. NEW MOON!? Are you kidding me? HAHAHAHA Horror?

Hubby was unimpressed with Avatar's loss. I haven't seen either Avatar or the Hurt Locker so I was indifferent but it was nice to see Kathryn Bigelow win. She made history. Go women! hehe

Well, I guess that's it. Nothing like some random oscarsness.

Therapy and Shutter Island

I had my day all planned out. I planned it out last night.

I was going to get up, do the gym and then head to do some shopping (window shopping that is) before I went to see Shutter Island. Then I rethought my plans and moved the gym to after the movie but other than that the day stayed the same.

I got all ready to go, grabbed the keys, said good bye to the guys and had my hand on the door knob when J said "What day is today?"

I responded "Friday."

To which he responded "Don't forget I have therapy today."

Plans dashed to pieces!

We had BOTH forgotten that he had therapy until just then, an hour and a half before we had to leave.

Anyway, AFTER therapy I did finally get to the movies. I saw Shutter Island. What a strange movie. I'm not what you would call a fan of Leonardo DiCaprio but I have to say that this was some of the best acting I've seen out of him. I might give him another shot.

POSSIBLE
S*P*O*I*L*E*R*S

I sat down in the theatre and the movie began to play. Five minutes in I sent a text (What? Don't look at me like that. Yes, I'm one of THOSE people. I text during the movie, sometimes but I ALWAYS sit in the very last row in the corner so I'm pretty sure I don't bother anyone.) to my cousin and said "I think I know EXACTLY how this movie is going to end. I'll let you know."

I was right. Just once I would like to see a movie where the twist at the end was actually a suprise to me. Come on people! Get creative! Not saying I didn't like the movie. I did. I'm not going to rush out and buy it when it comes out on DVD though. (There was just a tad too much violence for me.)

I think it could have twisted again at the end and I was almost expecting it but it never came. Maybe there will be an alternate ending on the DVD. We'll see.

(Also, just a side note. Maybe it's because he's grown up or something but this marks the first time I have ever ever found Leonardo DiCaprio at all attractive. I was not a part of the Fangirls from Titanic. I was into Billy Zane when I saw that movie. Stupid Rose!)

HGotW: Paul Bettany

It's Thursday! Would you like to see a Hot Guy?

I'm not sure what it is about this weeks hot guy. I'm even sure some people will disagree with me, or maybe question my judgement. But there's something about him. I think it may just be the way he carries himself that does it.

Either way, and whatever it is, I'm just going to present you with this weeks HGotW:

Paul Bettany

Well, there he is. I hope you enjoyed this weeks Hot Guy. If you have any suggestions or requests feel free to leave them in the comments section. I'll see what I can do.

The Girl I have today I picked not my husband. I think she's very pretty but he doesn't shar my opinion at all. I also like that she just looks however she looks and acts however and apparently doesn't care what people think. She was on Craig Ferguson the other night and he called her "BatS*** crazy," but in a very loving and affectionate way. Hehe.

Even when she plays a scary witch in Harry Potter I still don't think she looks bad.

Craig Ferguson Live!

It's a Great Day for America!!

Last Friday we had the opportunity to go see Craig Ferguson live! Now, when I say this I get a lot of "Who is Craig Ferguson?" questions.

Craig Ferguson hosts the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on CBS after Letterman. It's the only talk show I watch because of the host and not because of the guests they're going to have on. Craig Ferguson is Hilarious! Always funny and occasionally he does an episode where it's less funny and more serious or educational and those are always excellent too. If you've never seen the show you really should check it out.

Friday J and I drove about two and half to three hours to a "major American city" a place called Thackerville, Oklahoma. There is a casino there called the WinsStar and it is HUGE. I mean Mega mega large. The building is made up of sections built to look like landmarks from around the world. There is a castle, a Roman Colliseum, a Big Ben and more.

Inside there are "countries" too. China, England, France, etc. No kidding, we asked how to get to Craig Ferguson and the lady said "Follow the building and when you get to Rome the box office is on the right."

Gambling from one end to the other. It made me crazy to think about how much money was being spent in there! I stood and watched a guy playing the slot machine. Everytime he punched the button his little credit meter went down two dollars! TWO DOLLARS to push a button! I could never gamble, I'm too miserish with my cash (what little cash we do have).

After quite a hike we finally made it to "Rome." We stood in line for ages until we picked up our tickets and went to the show.

There was an opening comedian. He was pretty funny but not fantastic. My favorite joke from him (the only one I remember really) was when he said "Why build a Sea World so close to the ocean? Save your eighty bucks and look left." I enjoyed that one.

After him Craig was up. Chris (if you watch the LLS you would know him as Leather Boy) came out in his little outfit and danced around with a flute then another guy that I've seen on the show joined him and then Craig.

Craig was hilarious! Of course, I was expecting nothing less. This is defnitely an adult show though. He swore a LOT. Then he talked about how much he loves to swear which involved more swearing.

One of the best jokes of the night was when he talked about his son following him around with a jar. Craig has to put a nickle in the jar everytime he uses "the F word." Craig said that sometimes he pays his kid in advance. "Here's a ten, Kid. I'm going to go call your Mother."

We rolled, it was so funny.

I don't want to give away anything else in case someone reading this gets the opportunity to go. I will say one more thing about the show. The two guys from the beginning joined Craig at the end and they did "Oops, I Did it Again." and it was great!

It was a great night! We had so much fun and Monday night Craig talked about it on his show. Unfortunately cameras were not allowed or, trust me, I would have posted a bunch of pictures to check out.

If you're going to see the show and you have any questions or anything feel free to leave comments, I'll do my best to help! Have a great day!

Random Tuesday Thoughts!!

Welcome to Tuesday! So, you know what Tuesday means? Random Tuesday Thoughts!! If you want to join in the randomness click the little box below and head over to Keely's blog!

randomtuesday

1. Saw Craig Ferguson on Friday (Yes, I know I've said this a few times but I was very excited and it was a lot of fun)!! I said I would post an update yesterday but I didn't. Apologies. Look for a blog about the Craig Ferguson show (if you want) tomorrow.

2. Loving my new computer. Windows 7? Not so much. I don't like that I can't see all the pages I have open on the bottom of my screen. I have to mouse over the Internet Explorer icon to see whats open. Not a big fan of that. If anyone knows if it's possible to change it and how to do it if it is I would be thrilled to hear about that.

3. TiVo is making me very happy!

4. Cleaning around here this week. I suppose you could call it spring cleaning because it's deeper than just the normal.

5. Plane tickets purchased for the Kiddo and I (J has to work) to go to Pennsylvania in April to visit my family. It's been a year since we've seen them. I hate living so far away.

6. Speaking of Craig Ferguson . . . He's newely on Twitter and enjoys calling his twitter followers by the name "Robot Skeleton Army." Anyway, he has said he wanted a robot skeleton co-host. Grant Imahara from Mythbusters heard about this and told Craig that he would make him a robot skeleton sidekick if Craig could get him 100,000 followers. So if anyone is interested in checking out what I'm sure will be an awesome skeleton, we've got to get it built first! Follow @Grantimahara!!

7. Did you see this??! Quake in Chile may have tipped Earth's axis! Crazy!

Have a great Random Tuesday!

Sorry, Try back Wednesday

Why don't people think before they speak? (I know that was random but it's what was on my mind when I opened blogger.)

I JUST realized that I haven't blogged yet today. You know what that means? That means a sloppy post for today.

I realize also that I said there would be a blog about going to see Craig Ferguson today and that hasn't happened either.

So, tomorrow is Random Tuesday Thoughts and then Wednesday will be the blog about Craig Ferguson.

Have a great night!
