WHAT?!!?

This is what happens when you set your blog to post automatically for 19 days . . .

You TOTALLY and COMPLETELY forget to post ANYTHING for almost THREE days!

I have some pictures and some stories from our trip to Pennsylvania. We went to the Philadelphia Zoo and Washington D.C. while we were there and it was tons of fun.

Hopefully I'll get my act together and get some things posted! I cannot believe I missed two days! So sad . . .

Travel Day

Today's post is going to be a short one.

I didn't realize that I didn't have one scheduled for today.

We're headed home to Oklahoma. Our flight doesn't leave until this evening so we have lots of time.

We had a wonderful breakfast with some family. It was tasty and the company was nice (without any attitudes. Which might be near a miracle considering some of the guests.)

Now it's time to pack up our bags and wait to head to the airport.

If you pray, please pray we'll have a safe trip, we'll appreciate it! Thanks!

Have a great Monday!

Your Age by Chocolate Math

I got this in an e-mail and thought it was a bit of fun so I decided to share.

Your Age By Chocolate Math

This is pretty neat.

DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!

It takes less than a minute .

Work this out as you read .

Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!

1. First pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate (more than once but less than 10)

2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)

3. Add 5

4. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you get the calculator

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1760 . . . If you haven't, add 1759.

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number. The first digit of this was your original number
(i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).

The next two numbers are . . . Your age!

THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2010) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS.

Hope you enjoyed this little game. Have a great day!

I Love it when the Kiddo Shares

The other day I was in the shower when I heard a little voice outside the bathroom door.

Kiddo: Mom!

Me: What, Baby?

Kiddo: Do you want toys to play with in the bath?

Me: No thanks, Baby. I'm good!

I'm pretty sure he was going to give me his dinosaurs if I would have said yes. He makes me smile so much. Haha.

HGotW: Misha Collins

I haven't really seen this weeks Hot Guy of the Week around a whole lot. I'd seen him before two or three times but I really noticed him when he showed up on Supernatural (Yes, I'm telling you. There are a lot of pretty people on that show!)

Honestly, when he first showed up on Supernatural I was not a fan. But when I say that I mean that I wasn't a fan of his character. He still qualified as a hot guy.

I've seen some interviews and some videos from conventions since then and he seems like a pretty funny guy. And those eyes . . .

I hope you agree that he fits right in around here. This weeks HGotW . . .

Misha Collins

*Like*

MMMmmm Come on people, look at those eyes (and lips)! :)
(And yes, it's possible that this pic is, in fact, my wallpaper on my laptop.)

The lady I chose for this week is very beautiful and very talented. I've enjoyed seeing her in everything that I've seen her in so far (haha, what a strange sentence). She's also the female lead in the highest grossing movie of all time, Avatar. (Which I haven't seen yet but J assures me is worthy of the hype.)

Zoe Saldana

Thanks for coming by and have a wonderful Thursday!!

Check out Misha on Supernatural tonight on the CW!

The Sitter

I recently became a fan on Facebook of "As a Kid I Used to Jump From Couch to Couch To Avoid the Lava & Quicksand"

I laughed because when I read that it took me back to one specific memory from childhood.

My Dad was in a business every tuesday night they had a meeting. My Aunt was also in this group with him so that left myself and my two cousins with a sitter on those nights.

Our sitter was named Sam and I'm not sure how old she was. I know that to me she seemed very grown up to me but that's because I was a little kid. But now, looking back, I would wager that she wasn't that grown up.

You see we were playing some sort of game. We had our pretend guns out and we were climbing on the furniture and jumping from sofa to sofa in order to avoid . . . Well, I'm not sure what we were avoiding but it was something on the floor!

And when I saw "we" I'm referring to myself, my two cousins and our sitter, Sam. Yup, All of us, jumping from couch to couch to avoid the lava!

1. We went to Washingtong D.C. yesterday and had a blast!

2. I TOTALLY missed the Folger Shakespeare Library while we were there and when I came home and looked it up online I was REALLY depressed. Next time!

3. Went to D.C. Did anyone buy Any souveniers while were there? No! No one! We all totally forgot! I think it was all the walking. We're kicking ourselves now.

4. I don't watch daytime TV but Mom and Gram do. So, when I'm here I see it. Like I said, I don't watch but they do and have all my life as long as I can remember. And as long as I can remember I've had a thing for Michael Baldwin (a.k.a. Christian LeBlanc) on The Young and the Restless. Those eyes!

5. No gym here in Pennsylvania. I'm going to have to go to the gym twice a day for a month when I go home.

6. Tomorrow morning we're heading for breakfast at the most awesomest breakfast buffett I've Ever been too! It's a two hour drive and it's TOTALLY worth it!

8. Well, I'm out for now and there's too much going on here to pay attention to what I'm writing. I apologize for any mispellings or whatever in here.

The First Book I Ever Read

Do you remember the first book you ever read? I'm not talking like a Dr. Suess kind of book. I mean the first big book with full chapters that you ever read?

I remember the first one I ever read was a Star Trek Voyager Book (I've told you before that I'm a geek). It was called The Escape. I was twelve years old.

I was at the mall with my Grandfather and there was (I think it's even still there . . . well, maybe) a little comic book shop that I used to love to go in. I was never a fan of comic books but they also had all the Star Trek stuff. You know, the figures and the phasers and the tricorders and all those fun things. Anyway I went in to look around and I saw the book just lying there on the shelf.

I picked it up and read the back and for reason I wanted it. I put it down and ran out to my Grandfather who was waiting for me on a bench outside the store. I remember asking him if he would buy me the book.

He was so sweet (and fond of spoiling). He gave me the money and I ran in and bought it. I showed it to him when I came out. He seemed suprised at the size and asked if I was actually going to read it. I assured him I would. And I did.

It was a very well written book. I can't remember the exact plot (after all I was twelve when I read it) but I can still remember scenes from it. I love when I read a book and I can see it all happening in my head like I'm watching a movie.

I still have the book. Maybe one day I'll have to dig it out and read it again just for old times sake.

Do you remember the first book you read?

Dream Land

J used to talk about a recurring dream that he had every year at about the same time. Something about a dog . . . I can't remember the details.

Anyway, I thought about that. I was thinking, I don't think I've ever had a recurring dream.

Then it hit me. I have had a recurring dream. However, it wasn't always the exact same dream. Like it happened in different place but always the same thing happened.

My teeth fell out! All of them!

I would be at my Gram's house or somewhere and all of a sudden one of my teeth would feel lose. I would run to the bathroom and look in the mirror and then it would fall out! I would panic and wish and hope that it were just a dream.

Of course it was. Whew! I haven't had that dream in a while. I sure hope that just because I wrote about it doesn't mean it's going to come back to me!

Do you experience any recurring dreams? Creepy or just odd? I think any recurring dream would be odd.

Ahh, Spring . . .

I like Spring because . . .

Well, let's face it. I'm not a fan of Spring.

I know that most people just love Spring. They love that it's not cold anymore and they love the flowers and all the Springy stuff "in the air." Not me.

Spring is not my time of year. Spring to me means HOT HOT HEAT (redundant?) is right around the corner. It also means that the bugs are about to be everywhere.

Where I am 110 degree days are normal. Normal?! That's torture! It gets waaaay too hot here. The bugs, well everyone has the bug problem but bees and flies and spiders are such a hassle. I can do without them.

I like Fall. Give me Fall all year around and I would be thrilled.

What's your favorite season? Do you think I'm crazy for not liking Spring?

HGotW: Michael Rosenbaum

If it's Thursday it must be time to check out a Hot Guy!

I discovered this weeks Hot Guy back in 2001 when my cousin made me watch Smallville. It didn't take long before he showed up on the screen and I didn't see anyone else. I watched almost the whole first season just to have the opportunity to watch him. (Unfortunately even my "love" for him couldn't keep me interested in the weirdness that was Smallvile . . . on that note, I'm dumbfounded that this show is still on. Oh well.)

Time for this weeks HGotW . . .

Michael Rosenbaum

You might recognize our featured female this week from a little known series of movies called The Twilight Saga. I picked her because I just happen to think she's very pretty. I also really like her voice. She has a very nice speaking voice.

(I wish she would guest in Supernatural. Hehe, she would fit right in with the other pretty people.)

Nikki Reed

I hope you had a good visit to this weeks HGotW post. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

We Keep 'em in Business

Shopping. It seems like I spend a LOT of time at Walmart.

Now this could be because I need things that are there, it could also be because there is NOTHING (well, almost nothing) else to do in the ity, bity, teeny, tiny town that I live in. (I'm not even kidding, the place is small.)

But I do seem to be "heading to Walmart" a lot. What do I need so often? Milk . . .

It's absolutely amazing the amount of milk we go through around here!

Sure, I sometimes need bread or cheese or Dr. Pepper for J because he's addicted. But more often than not I'm going to Walmart to replenish the milk supply.

Maybe I should buy a cow? I'm not so sure how well the people who manage the apartments where I live would like that.

So, what do you seem to constantly run out of?

Random Tuesday Thoughts!

My VERY late Random Tuesday post! Link-up over at Keely's blog with your own Randomness!

randomtuesday

1. I'm trying to put together a Random Tuesday post and I find I'm having a hard time coming up with some thoughts. Good news is that the last time I said that I ended up with lots of random thoughts. Hoping for a repeat.

2. We're planning on going to Washing D.C. on Thursday. I'm really excited. I love it there, it's so beautiful. Have you been to D.C.? What are your favorite sites there? Kiddo really wants to see dinosaurs and I love the Lincoln Memorial.

3. I love my library at home in Oklahoma but yesterday I went with my Dad and Brother to the library here. They have ENTIRE series of TV shows on DVD! I could barely take it all in! I wish our library had that kind of selection. Not too mention they had so many DVD's it was crazy! I do kind of think that our library has more books though.

4. Before the Kiddo and I came to Pennsylvania I went to Spread Shirt and created a t-shirt for him that said "I love Grammy and Grandpa!" I love it! Yesterday I got a code in the mail for 15% off my next order if I order in the next ten days. I'm So there!

5. Told ya. I've got nothing and on top of that I very nearly almost forgot to post today at all!

Kid Speak

I picked up the Kiddo the other day. My Baby just isn't a baby anymore.

I said to him. "You're getting so big! What happened to my Baby? You're supposed to be little."

He said. "Not supposed to be. I don't want to be little. I want to be big like you."

Hehe, how could I say no to that? I told him it was okay with me if he wanted to keep growing.

He said "Thanks, Mom."

I love that kid!

Facebook Groups

Do you become of a fan of groups on Facebook? I didn't use to but I started seeing some that I just couldn't resist so I do now. Here's a few of the groups that I've joined or pages I've become a fan of. (I didn't post the TV shows, people or products I'm a fan of. Just the "Fun" ones.

As a Kid I Used to Jump From Couch to Couch To Avoid the Lava & Quicksand"

I Love CHOCOLATE !!!

I can only handle so much stupid before I have to say something

Driving in Summer with the windows down and the music turned up.

"What if Google didn't exist?" "Man we would all be screwed"

I panic when someone says to me 'I need to talk to you'.

I stay in my pajamas until I absolutely HAVE to get dressed.

This is america, we shouldnt have to press 1 for english

Re-discovering music you used to love

I couldn't survive if i lost my best friend <3

Have you ever just looked at someone, and automatically felt annoyed?

'Let's eat Grandma!' or, 'Let's eat, Grandma!' Punctuation saves lives.

Nothing to do so I think Ill eat everything in my house

You're my bestfriend because i wouldnt dare to be this weird with anyone else

I don't sleep enough because I stay up late for no reason

I hate when you act like that, because I know you arent really that way.

I LOVE MY MOM

I Hate When I Walk Into The Bathroom and Find a Tiger Other

Don't criticize the music on my iPod. It's MY iPod.

If you were looking for groups to join, here they are! Have a great day!

Hot at first. Cooled off Quick!

We arrived in Pennsylvania to some record breaking hot temperatures. (It hadn't been that hot on that day of the year since the 1920's!) But it didn't take long to cool off. Thank the Lord! I was getting a bit too warm.

Zoe! Zoe Get in Here!! ZOE!!

We have a neighbor directly across from us.

She's one of those little old lady types, she's sweet but look out if she catches you outside. She's going to talk to you for an hour.

I promise, the first time I met her she told me her life story! He Mom just recently moved back to town so she came here too. Her daughter lives in Colorado and she rarely gets to see her. She was married but her husband cheated on her. I heard about her husband's mistress and  I heard about the church where she grew up. It was an interesting conversation.

Anyway, she had a little "wind-up" dog. I call it a wind up dog. It's one of those tiny little dogs that yapps instead of barks? Like the dog in Lady and the Tramp that bounces backwards when it barks.

Nearly every early morning it's the same routine. Did I mention the word early?

She lets the dog out and then a short while later she opens the door and begins yelling, (screaming in a high pitched voice) "ZOE!! ZOE!!!!! ZOOOEEEE!!!! ZOE GET IN HERE!!! ZOE!!! ZOE, COME HERE!!!! ZOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!"

No joke. Who needs an alarm?

One day I'm going to buy a dog leash and leave it at her door step, anonymously.

HGotW: Leonardo DiCaprio

It's Thursday! It's time for a Hot Guy fix!

This weeks HGotW is dedicated to a wonderful Twitter friend (and all around sweet person), Krista. (@Krista_86 on Twitter)

She was probably pretty happy with last week's HGotW too considering she is a MASSIVE Bones fan! (Btw, 100th episode of Bones is on tonight! Don't miss it!)

Now, on to the HGotW. Let me start by saying that about thirteen years ago when everyone was flipping out over this guy . . . well, I was less than impressed. He just wasn't my kind of guy so I didn't swoon like everyone else.

Recently though, I have to say, I think he's againg well. The years have been good to him. Also, I think his acting has improved too.

Well, I don't actually have a lot to say so I give you this weeks HGotW . . .

Leonardo DiCaprio
(Dedicated to Krista)

And what other lady would I choose to feature this week but . . .

Kate Winslet

Beautiful

And just because they're really cute together . . .

Well, I hope you enjoyed this weeks edition of HGotW! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you come back next week!

Favorite Brands

Favorite Brand of Toothpaste: Crest 3D Vivid White. I LOVE it! It works and it tastes Yummy!

Favorite Brand of Shampoo: I Love Thermasilk or Thermashine or whatever it's called now but I can't afford it so I get Suave Professionals. The Almond Butter in the green. Smells good.

Favorite Brand of Soap: Regular soap? I guess Irish Spring but I also love Bath and Body Works shower gels (Particularly Warm Vanilla Sugar.)

Favorite Brand of Mouthwash: Scope and it has to be the stuff that burns because if it doesn't burn my brain says it isn't working.

Favorite Brand of Lip Balm: ChapStick! I never leave home withouth it!

Favorite Brand of Laundry Detergent: The cheap stuff! Haha, I think it's called Sun. (I like the way Purex smells but it's not the cheapest.)

Favorite Brand of Bottled Water: Aquafina. (And yes, I do taste a difference.)

Favorite Brand of Tanning Lotion: Hawaiian Tropics. I like the way it smells.

Favorite Brand of Peanut Butter: JIF of course!

Do you disagree or agree with any of my favorites? What are yours?

Random Tuesday Thoughts!

Welcome to Random Tuesday!! Click the box and link-up over at Keely's blog!

randomtuesday

1. Today I finish packing and we head for Dallas. Tomorrow morning the Kiddo and I board a plane for the first leg of our trip to Pennsylvania. Yay!

2. I HATE airports. You know what would make the airport part of the trip totally worthwhile? Seeing a celebrity (I don't care if it's a big celebrity or a small celebrity), that would be cool.

3. I Hate packing. I'm always worried I'm going to forget something. I sure hope I don't forget anything.

4. I have a lot to do today and that's why my Random is late and short.

5. Have a wonderful Day!!

Sorry for the Depression

I'm the proud Mommy of one little boy. He's wonderful and I love him like crazy.

Sometimes I think I might want another Kiddo . . . then I think again and right now I'm good. Then, of course, it occurs to me that I'm not getting any younger and I shouldn't wait too long if I really want another Kiddo.

However, I live in Nowhere, Oklahoma. My family lives in Pennsylvania. My whole family. My Mommy.

I've had one Kiddo away from my family and I'm not really interested in having another out here in the middle of nowhere with no one around. I miss my family. I know that my Mom wants to be around for another and I want her around.

Not too mention, it's nice to have a little help around when you have a new baby (I would imagine especially if you already have one little Kiddo) and like I already said, there's no one here.

I want, so badly, to move back to Pennsylvania for good. I'm so tired of living here away from everyone. I just want to go home.

Then when I'm home maybe I'll be ready to have another Kiddo . . . To tell the truth, I'm ready to have another Kiddo now, but not here.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!!!

I hope you are all having a wonderful day celebrating the resurrection of our Lord!

I do belive that Easter is a celebration of the resurrection but I'm not beyond having some fun. I recieved an e-mail from my Mom last week and I thought I would share some of the pictures that were in it. You may have already seen it. If you have, I hope you can enjoy it a second time!

Happy Easter!
