Messages in the Sand

I love my best friend because she's awesome.

She was in Florida last week vacationing. She wrote an "I love you" note in the sand on the beach for her man and posted it on Facebook.

Naturally my comment said "Awwww . . . Where's mine?"

Not long after that I received a photo on my phone and this photo was posted on Facebook:

See? She's awesome! :) Hehe

Also, I'm TOTALLY jealous that she was at the beach and I wasn't!

Facebook Groups

Do you become of a fan of groups on Facebook? I didn't use to but I started seeing some that I just couldn't resist so I do now. Here's a few of the groups that I've joined or pages I've become a fan of. (I didn't post the TV shows, people or products I'm a fan of. Just the "Fun" ones.

Driving in Summer with the windows down and the music turned up.

"What if Google didn't exist?" "Man we would all be screwed"

I panic when someone says to me 'I need to talk to you'.

I stay in my pajamas until I absolutely HAVE to get dressed.

This is america, we shouldnt have to press 1 for english

Re-discovering music you used to love

I couldn't survive if i lost my best friend <3

Have you ever just looked at someone, and automatically felt annoyed?

'Let's eat Grandma!' or, 'Let's eat, Grandma!' Punctuation saves lives.

Nothing to do so I think Ill eat everything in my house

You're my bestfriend because i wouldnt dare to be this weird with anyone else

I don't sleep enough because I stay up late for no reason

I hate when you act like that, because I know you arent really that way.

EVERY time? Really?

I'm getting very very tired of getting on Facebook and seeing post after post that says something like "My life is so awful." or "Pity me please." or "Things just can't get any worse."

Oh My Word! Shut up! (Kiddo would say "No, don't say that it's mean. Say 'Hush'.")

Now I understand that occasionally you have a bad day and you might feel the need to vent a little. I'm all for that. Vent. But come on! EVERY status update?

I'm this close *Holds two fingers very close together* to turning off the feed of at least two frequent pity me facebook updaters.

When someone's status says "I guess I ruined my life. I just destroyed it all." You know what I want to say? "Oh well, that's life." I know it doesn't sound very sympathetic but I'm tired of reading it ALL the time!

Sorry about that. I guess it was my turn to vent.

See? That wouldn't be so hard. Why don't they Get a Blog!?

I'm done now. Have a great day!

Blog to Facebook?

When I first started my blog I thought it would be neat to have it post right to my Facebook account when it's published here.

That worked well for a while. But occasionally I think of something that I want to post here and I just can't have that particular nugget pasted all over my Facebook account.

Recently I posted a certain rant and then I had to sit on Facebook and continually refresh the page so that I could delete it when it showed up there. It just wasn't for everyone. (Considering that some facebookers may have been implicated in that particular post.)

So I have made a decision. I have removed the automatic post and the link to my blog that was on Facebook. I have also removed the link to my Twitter account from Facebook.

This blog is no longer connected to Facebook. Now I can write what I want and not have to sit on Facebook and wait to delete it.

I realize this doesn't affect anyone here. You may continue to enjoy (or not enjoy) my blog free of incident. Have a nice day!

Random Tuesday Thoughts!

It's that time again! I love Tuesdays! Happy Random Tuesday! Click the box below and join the fun over at Keely's blog.

randomtuesday

1. I don't mind fanfic at all. As a matter of fact . . .  I may have been known to read some of it. However, and I found this very disturbing, fanfiction should be used with characters that have been created and NOT real people. I've signed up for some google alerts and I'm constantly getting links for "fanfic" stories involving these people and their friends. REAL people, not characters, the actual people. Ick. I sure hope these people never see this.

2. Adam Lambert. AMA's. What the  . . . ??????? (Just FYI This video is PG-13 at least)

3. I dreamed about Adam Lambert Sunday night after the AMA's . . . It was bound to happen . . . *Shudders*

3. I play Date of the Day on Facebook everyday. I NEVER end up with anyone I'm interested in ending up with. Although I've been dating Leonardo Dicaprio and Robert Pattinson pretty regularly. I'll let you know how it's going. My real question is why do I keep getting stuck with these guys and my friends get Johnny Depp?!!?!?!?!?

4. I HATE being broke this time of year (I hate being broke any time, really). Last year I had garland up around all my doors and doorways. This year I have streamers in the appropriate colors. Oh well, at least I have streamers.

5. Saw New Moon last night. I really liked it. A million times better than Twilight. Taylor Lautner made me feel bad for and even kind of like Jacob (NOT an easy thing to do, let me tell you). Also, I think Michael Sheen as Aro was great. He stole the scene. I'm looking forward to seeing more of him.

6. I updated my blog editor thing. WHERE is the spell check?!!?!?!?!?!?!? Help! Please???

Facebook Fun

If you're on Facebook and you're looking for some new apps/games you've come to the right place! Today I'm going to tell you about some of my favorite things to do on Facebook.

1. Bejeweled Blitz. I LOVE this game and I'm totally addicted to it. I remember playing Bejeweled a long time ago and I really liked it. Then one day I got on Facebook and my friend had published her score . . . I was practically beside myself with the discovery. Blitz is a shortened version of the regular Bejeweled in that you only have one minute to score as many points as you can. I love it.

2. My Zoo. I had seen people publishing that their zoo was opening exhibits and breeding animals but it took forever before I looked at it. It's a game that doesn't need babysitting and it's a lot of fun. You get to open new exhibits with all kind of different animal varieties. My highlight was when I finally got my Polar Bear. The Panda babies were neat too.

3. Christmas Tree. This is an application that allows you to send gifts of all kinds to your friends. It only allows 20 a day though, that makes me sad. But I'm really enjoying it. You can set it so your friends can open your gift right away or so that they have to til Christmas, mean, I know, but fun!

4. Sorority Life. I'm not sure how I got roped into this one. It was much more engaging in the lower levels. Now I just try to get points to level up so I can get a job and make more money. I still like it though. My only complaint is that for somethings you need a certain number of friends and not all my friends play this game so I hit a wall sometimes.

5. YoVille. I really liked that I could create my avatar. However, what I liked more was the fact that I can decorate my little apartment. I love that part. Unlike My Zoo and Sorority Life, however, this one doesn't earn you money while you sleep. You actually have to work. Go figure!

6. Living Social. I just love the "Pickyour5" game on this site. I think I've exhausted all my picks though. :) It's so much fun! Check it out!

7. I used to play Farm Town a lot too but I've kind of let that one fall by the way. There's just too much.

8 Honorable Mentions. I must also mention Pieces of Flair because that's so much fun. I don't like that they limit the number of flair you can put on your board though. Also Date of the Day is worth looking at. (Although, sometimes I think this one may be broken . . . you should see the people this thing hooks me up with!)

I hope you've enjoyed this little tour of a few applications and games that are available for you entertainment on Facebook! Now, go play!

Random Tuesday Thoughts

I love Tuesdays in the Blogger universe. Random Tuesday Thoughts was a stroke of brilliance! (Way to go Keely!) That being said . . . here it is!

randomtuesday

1. I love the chapter in the Bible about Abigail. She was pretty cool, that one. I Samuel 25.

2. I'm SO sick of the "Do you have yellow teeth?" ads that are All Over my Facebook page! Go away! My teeth are fine and I don't need you! Disgusting!

3. I love reading the headlines from those bizarre tabloids (i.e. World News, Sun). They have the craziest stuff. The last one I saw said that they found Noah's Ark in Afghanistan AND . . . wait for it . . . it came with TEN NEW COMMANDMENTS!!!! Uh, huh. Yup!

4. Have I mentioned that I'm so ready for Fall I can almost taste it? I'm looking for Vampire books (Scary ones, not love stories), any suggestions?

5. Mother-in-Law took Sister-in-Law North to College this past weekend (She decided it wasn't for her though. She's very much a stay at home sort of person. I'm not surprised she decided it was FAR too FAR away way up there.). Anyway, On their return trip they stopped in Washington D.C. (Can you say "JEALOUS!?") I have been there before but I wish I could have gone along. I might steal some of her pics to show you . . .

6. Kind of connected to the last one . . . while "up north" Mother-in-Law bought some Lebanon Bologna for us. I absolutely love Lebanon and you can't buy it down here (Dumb!). Just one more thing I miss about living in the north. I can't wait to have some! In a sandwich, by itself, rolled up with cream cheese, the possibilities are endless!

Have a great Tuesday!!

Random Tuesday Thoughts - New

I just discovered this the other day and thought it would be fun to participate. Here goes.

randomtuesday

1. Why do you park in a driveway and drive in a parkway? (Okay, I know, lame. I'm just warming up.

2. What's with the new ads on facebook that run down the left side of the page? Very irritating!

3. When Bejeweled Blitz resets its scores, it makes me a little sad.

4. When will we get to stop hearing about Michael Jackson? I really think my head may explode.

5. What on earth do you do at a Going Away to College Party? Eat? Sister-in-Law wants to play volleyball (She's addicted). Looks like that will be the whole thing. Some party huh?

6. Will Blogger EVER get my follower thing fixed? I've seen with my own eyes people who's profile says they follow me. However, my own says I have ZERO Followers. Ugh!

7. Do you think my Kiddo is deaf? I mean he seems to hear fine most of the time. Then there are those times that I say "Clean up your toys." or "Stop climbing on that." that it appears he has absolutely no hearing capability at all.

8. I think one of the sadest verses in the Bible is Acts 26:28 Where Paul has just finished talking to King Agrippa and Agrippa says "Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian." How sad. Almost.

9. If you're reading on Facebook please feel free (Please, please, please) to stop by http://www.seansmoma.blogspot.com/ and follow me properly, like a good little friend. (As J would say . . . "I'll love you forever." Thanks!)

This has been Random Tuesday Thoughts. Thanks for reading!

The First Step is Admitting Your Problem

I’m sitting here trying to think of something brilliant to write. What do I have? Nothing? On top of having nothing to write I keep looking at the other tab and seeing Bejeweled Blitz (On Facebook). It’s like it’s calling to me. “Come play me! Beat your score! You know you want to! Forget that blog, you’ll think of something later.”

Ugh! Stop! *Covers ears with hands and shakes head* Go away! I have to write!

I may be addicted to Bejeweled. (That’s the first step, right? Admitting it?) It’s frustrating. You only get a minute in which to beat your own or someone else’s high score. A minute (usually) isn’t long enough at all. My best score to date is 145,000. I’m pretty impressed with that. I really don’t see myself beating that anytime soon. It’s much easier to beat my high score for the week. (Currently set at 107,600)

Anyway, there you go. Bejeweled has taken over my life and now my blog is about it too . . . pathetic.

You really should try it!
