You've got to love the things that kids come up with.
In church this morning our Pastor was talking about Kids growing up and the things they will be when they grow up.
I looked at the Kiddo and I said "What do you want to be when you grow up?"
His response? "An apple." then he quickly changed his ansewer to "Fruit."
I guess an apple wasn't adventurous enough for him.
Should I be worried?

Here, Kitty, Kitty, Kitty
Most of my life growing up I had a cat. When I say most, I mean most. I got my first cat when I was two and had at least one cat all the way until I got married.
Of course, I would have to meet and marry a guy was is allergic to cats. (Blast you, allergies!!) It was so awful when I had to move without my kitty. The sweetest, most wonderful, kindest kitty I've ever met. (She's NEVER hissed at me, never, not once.)
Well, yesterday we were visiting some stores, running around, trying to accomplish some things on the to do list. After dinner we decided to take the Kiddo to PetCo and let him look around.
We saw fish, lizards, snakes, frogs, birds, hamsters, mice, a guinea pig and ferrets (I was going to combine the last four into "rodents" but I decided to list them out. Gross!)
By the time we had gone all around we had lost J. So, I called him to find out where he was and he said he was at the front of the store with the cat. I didn't know there was a cat! The Kiddo and I made a beeline for the Kitty.
We stood there and played with the Kitty (is that evil?) for a while until we had to leave. In the car J said "I really like that cat."
It was a very sweet Kitty Cat, I wanted it. Then he said HE wanted it! Then I had to do something that was like torture for me (okay, not really but it was still awful). I had to talk him out of getting the sweet, adorable, fuzzy kitty.
"No Baby, we can't get the fuzzy kitty because you'll die." (Not so extrememe but close.) It was awful, I want my Kitty back!!!!

HGotW: Julian McMahon
Welcome to Thursday! Welcome to HGotW!
This weeks Hot Guy has been a favorite of mine for a while and I'm actually suprised I haven't thought to feature him here yet. I don't know what I was thinking.
I discovered him on Charmed years ago. He has his own show now on FX, Nip/Tuck. I'm not really a Nip/Tuck fan though.
Anyway, enough talk, time for some pics! This weeks HGotW . . . Did I mention he's also Austrailian? Something in the water down there!

Geek Squad Rocks!!!
Two years ago I purchased a laptop. I transferred everything from my previous computer onto that laptop.
Everything that I've written, pretty much in my whole life, was now on that laptop.
Last year I took a trip to see my family in Pennsylvania. While I was gone, something happened to my laptop. When I came home it wouldn't turn on. Needless to say I was sad and slightly panicy.
I hate to think about everything that I had lost on that computer. And, at the time, we didn't have the money to have it looked at.
I tried a couple things that my Dad suggested but nothing worked. It seemed everything was lost forever.
Well, Monday we took a ride to a town a couple hours from here to check out the Best Buy (because we don't have one) and eat at Cheddars (Excellent restaurant and we don't have one of those either).
I grabbed my old laptop on the way out and prayed that the Geek Squad would be able to do something with it.
I set it on the counter and told them my problem. He tried to turn it on and it wouldn't work. Then he told me something that gave me hope. He said that they could try hooking up the hard drive to see if their system would read it. I said YES!
He took it away and I prayed and prayed and prayed it would work. Then he called me back into the work room. There on his screen were all my files and pictures that I hadn't seen in a year!
Sooooo happy!! I gladly paid the bill to have my stuff transfered off the broken computer onto an external hard drive.
I now have everything that I had thought was lost forever. I'm so very happy.
Thank you so much, Geek Squad!!

Random Tuesday Thoughts!
Happy Random Tuesday Everyone! Do you have some Random Thoughts you would like to share with the world? Or, would you prefer to simply read others Random Thoughts? Well then, click the little box below and head over to Keely's blog!
1. I love Twitter! I love that it puts us wee little common folk on the same level with people who are just slightly more well know than us. I mentioned I saw Mark Sheppard on CBS the other night, in a tweet and he responded to me by asking what show it was that I saw him on. Yes, I do realize that is a silly little insignificant thing but it made me smile.
2. Also, Alyson Hannigan (love her) tweeted about her TiVo. So, I responded to her something about the fact that she likes her TiVo and we're considering getting one and have been trying to get some feedback. Well, she provided me with some feedback. She responded to tell me it was the best thing for tv. Once again, I smiled.
3. I also love Twitter and Message boards and blogging for another reason that's fairly similar to the above comment. I love how these things introduce us to new people all over the word who have interests similar to our own. I think I may have to write a whole post on this subject . . .
4. I love Netflix and XBox live! Now I can watch my Netflix right on my TV! So awesome!
5. While I'm loving things I'm going to give some love to Geek Squad. Awesome peoples over there! They have rescued some VERY important things for me. I'll probably blog about that tomorrow.
6. Going to see Craig Ferguson on Friday (Well, that's the plan anyway)!! I am SOOO EXCITED!!!!
7. Had a very nice evening last night. Along with Geek Squad being so great we also had dinner at Cheddars. If you've never eaten at Cheddars you are absolutely missing out! I wish there were more locations around. Seems like a Southern based kind of restaurant.
8. Oh wow. Has anyone seen the Verizon person that is the Twilight Parody? Very clever and funny.
9. It seems as thought I'm a bit low on random this week. Not sure why. I really want to talk about Geek Squad but they deserve a post all to themselves. So, Have a great day!!

Flat Screen, Netflix and XBox Live
J was attempting to stimulate the economy this past weekend. You see we recieved our income tax refund and while I hyperventilated in another isle he purchased a flat screen Television.
I must admit it's a very nice addition to our living room. It's just that my practical mind can't stop saying. The old TV worked great! Really though, I like it.
What I really like is the fact that he also purchased XBox Live for his (Duh) XBox.
While I NEVER play the XBox I was ridiculously happy with this purchase because now I can watch all instant Netflix movies and television shows right on my (New Big Screen) TV!
I'm so happy that I can use the internet and have something playing in the background that I want to watch both at the same time.
Before, I could watch on the computer but, if I was then I couldn't check on anything else. And I'm the kind of person who likes to looks up movies while she watches to learn all the fun background stuff. (Nerd? Me? Noooooo.)
Anyway. Netflix? Highly Recommended. XBox Live? Highly recommended.

Sunday Silly - Kid's Say
I received an e-mail last week and I thought I would share it here. Just a bit of humor for your Sunday. Enjoy!
1.
A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales.
The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because even though it was a very large mammal its throat was very small.
The little girl stated that Jonah was swallowed by a whale.
Irritated, the teacher reiterated that a whale could not swallow a human; it was physically impossible.
The little girl said, 'When I get to heaven I will ask Jonah'.
The teacher asked, 'What if Jonah went to hell?'
The little girl replied, 'Then you ask him'.
2.
A Kindergarten teacher was observing her classroom of children while they were drawing. She would occasionally walk around to see each child's work.
As she got to one little girl who was working diligently, she asked what the drawing was.
The girl replied, 'I'm drawing God.'
The teacher paused and said, 'But no one knows what God looks like.'
Without missing a beat, or looking up from her drawing, the girl replied, 'They will in a minute.'
3.
A Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her five and six year olds.
After explaining the commandment to 'honour' thy Father and thy Mother, she asked, 'Is there a commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?'
Without missing a beat one little boy (the oldest of a family) answered, 'Thou shall not kill.'
4.
One day a little girl was sitting and watching her mother do the dishes at the kitchen sink. She suddenly noticed that her mother had several strands of white hair sticking out in contrast on her brunette head.
She looked at her mother and inquisitively asked, 'Why are some of your hairs white, Mum?'
Her mother replied, 'Well, every time that you do something wrong and make me cry or unhappy, one of my hairs turns white.'
The little girl thought about this revelation for a while and then said, 'Mummy, how come ALL of grandma's hairs are white?'
5.
The children had all been photographed, and the teacher was trying to persuade them each to buy a copy of the group picture.
'Just think how nice it will be to look at it when you are all grown up and say, 'There's Jennifer, she's a lawyer,' or 'That's Michael, He's a doctor..'
A small voice at the back of the room rang out, 'And there's the teacher, she's dead
6.
A teacher was giving a lesson on the circulation of the blood. Trying to make the matter clearer, she said, 'Now, class, if I stood on my head, the blood, as you know, would run into it, and I would turn red in the face.'
'Yes,' the class said.
'Then why is it that while I am standing upright in the ordinary position the blood doesn't run into my feet?'
A little fellow shouted,
'Cause your feet ain't empty.'
7.
The children were lined up in the cafeteria of a Catholic elementary school for lunch. At the head of the table was a large pile of apples. The nun made a note, and posted on the apple tray:
'Take only ONE . God is watching.'
Moving further along the lunch line, at the other end of the table was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies.
A child had written a note, 'Take all you want. God is watching the apples.'
Have a great Sunday!

HGotW: Alan Rickman
Welcome to this weeks edition of HGotW (a day late)! I apologize for the delay. Now let's get down to business.
I realize that this weeks Hot Guy may not appeal to everyone on the same level. However, like I said yesterday, I think he's definitely got some sexy going on. So, he shall be featured here.
I'm going to dedicate this post to Michelle because she knows what real talent is! Michelle, enjoy!
Without any further delay I present you this weeks Hot Guy of the Week . . .

Alan Rickman
And of course, if you're a young one than you would know Alan Rickman better if he looked like this:
Yes, I realize that some of these are from when he was significantly younger than he is now but he's had a good career with plenty of great pics available. Also, even if you don't think he's sexy you still have to admit the guy can act!
(P.S. No matter what Cate tells you I'm still fairly certain he does not eat babies.)
And for the gentlemen . . .
Jessica Beil
Have a great day everyone and thanks for stopping by!

HGotW Has Been Delayed
Thursday is supposed to be HGotW day. Sorry about the delay, but I'll bring you this weeks Hot Guy tomorrow.
I had every intention of doing it last night but then life happened and it got postponed. So now I intend to bring you a Hot Guy post tomorrow.
I have one particular guy in mind but I know that while some people find him Very Sexy others just find him old and unappealing. (I'm in the finding him very sexy crowd. Duh, right?)
There are a couple of these kind of guys. I've tried, mostly, to deliver guys that I think will be appealing overall. I might just throw in a few of those guys that I just happen to think are really sexy (even though I know that there are others out there who look at me like I've lost my mind.)
I'm also open to suggestions . . . ?
Anyway, tonight my church is having a get together with all the ladies. I hope it's a fun time, not that I'm driving all the way out there and I'm bored. Come on girls, lets have some fun!
Talk about an all over the place kind of post. Have a great day!

Book Five - The Loch
I've just finished my fifth book of the year.
The Loch by Steve Alten
3.5 to 4 out of 5 stars
I was attracted to this book for a couple reasons. 1. It about Loch Ness and the "Monster" that inhabits it. That's always interesting. 2. One of the reviews at the beginning of the book said . . . "Michael Chicton meets Dan Brown beneat the waves of Loch Ness." (Dennis Palumbo, author)
If you know me at all you know I'm a big fan of Dan Brown. So, of course that phrase would cause greater appeal.
I enjoyed the book. I wouldn't call it Dan Brown meets Michael Crichton but I still liked it.
It included a lot of Scottish history and a lot of science and it was very entertaining. Lots of edge of your seat, heart stopping kind of stuff.
It also included a very interesting and I would imagine fairly possible explanation to the Loch Ness Monster.
I've always believed in the Loch Ness Monster. I don't know why it would be so hard to believe that a rarely seen species lives in the great depths of the Loch or any other lake or Sea for that matter.
Anyway, if you're interested in the Loch Ness Monster than you might as well give this a try. It will most likely entertain you.

Random Tuesday Thoughts!
It's Tuesday! Time for some Random Thoughts! If you want to play click the Random box below and join the fun over at Keely's blog!
1. Saw Percy Jackson last night. Sean Bean is a god. Literally. He didn't have near enough screen time. He never does. But it was nice seeing him on the big screen (that's so rare) and he looked Good! Especially the scene in the beginning. *Smile*
2. J got me two seasons of Bones on DVD for Valentine's Day. Perfect gift!
3. Looking forward to traveling home to Pennsylvania in a month or two. Haven't seen my family since last Easter. FAR too long!
4. I LOVE the Olympics! So much fun and Patriotism. Just love them.
5. The season finale of Leverage is tomorrow night. This makes me sad. TNT's scheduling is ridiculous. I also think that they need more episodes in a season.
6. The bright side to number 5 is that Wednesday nights will now be clear for Ghost Hunters and Destination Truth (I really enjoy watching Josh Gates. Very funny.) which both start in March.
7. I don't play Farmville, Cafe World, Mafia Wars, Fish Tank or really anything like that on Facebook. WHY do people insist on sending me things for these games!? Go away!
8. I bought the World's Most Comfortable Pants Ever at Walmart the other night. They now have a bunch of stuff out for St. Patrick's Day (My second favorite Holiday after Christmas) and they have AWESOME lounge kind of pants that say Guiness on them. They also have Elmo and Kermit the Frog ones. Highly recommeneded SOOO Comfy!
9. Happy Pancake Day! We had purple pancakes here. I love food coloring!
Well, I suppose that's all for now. Have a great Random Tuesday!

Yes Please!
I t occured to me that I should blog about something today.
Apparently I have this thing where I can't NOT blog. So, on those days that I have nothing to say you'll have to forgive me for the Extremely low quality (as opposed to the regular low quality) posts. Well, actually you don't HAVE to forgive me, but it would be nice.
I have plans for today. I'm PLANNING on going to see Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief later.
Children's movie, you say. Yes, I'm pretty sure you're right. HOWEVER. This film has a certain cast member in it that compels me to go watch.
Sean Bean! On the big screen! Yes please! You better believe it! I'm there!
I may even get some popcorn . . .

Valentine's Day
Happy Valentine's Day!
I love William Shakespeare. That man could write. It drives me nuts when people say "I don't read his stuff because I can't understand any of it." I think "Are you kidding?!"
Well, it's their loss. If they don't read then they miss out on the gems. I decided for Valentine's Day I would post some quotes from William Shakespeare about Love. Hope you enjoy.

"I love thee, I love but thee; with a love that shall not die; till the sun grows cold and the stars grow old."
" I love you more than words can wield the matter, Dearer than eyesight, space and liberty "
" Come what sorrow can, It cannot countervail the exchange of joy , That one short minute gives me in her sight "
" Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind; And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind "
"Did my heart love 'til now? Foreswear its sight--for I never saw true beauty 'til this night."

Snow Day!
After lots of praying and waiting it finally happened. We were so happy! (Well, most of us. Hubby didn't like it too much, I don't know why. He never sees it.) Kiddo was so excited!
What is this miraculous thing you ask?
What is this miraculous thing you ask?
Snow!
We've been hearing for days about the snow that hammering the East. My family and friends from home have been posting pictures on Facebook of the massive snowfall. I was looking at them and getting jealous. Until yesterday, that is.
It has only just started snowing and the Kiddo was already begging to be able to go out and build a snowman. Every ten minutes he asked if we could go out.
But, he waited very patiently until I told him there was enough snow and we headed outside.
He made snow angels.
And he finally got to make (or watch me make anyway) his snowman!
I just love this picture!
And later on I went out with my camer and took some snow photos. The only thing was I had to do it with the flash off because it was still snowing. So, they all look blue in the Twilight.
We have a great day! Thank you Lord for the snow!

HGotW: Christian Bale
It's Thursday! You know what that means? Are you ready for a Hot Guy? Hehe.
This weeks HGotW kind of happened as a suprise to me. Well, let me say it like this. I wasn't a fan of this weeks guy for the longest time. I didn't have any problem with his acting because I've always thought his acting was excellent it's just that I never really enjoyed watching him.
I know that makes no sense but if you got in my head you would see that this is the least of the worries of things that make no sense.
Anyway, something happened, not sure what, and over time he grew on me. Now I enjoying looking at him AND watching him act all at the same time!
Okay, I've done enough talking. Time for this weeks HGotW:

*Sigh* I'm totally over the not liking him thing. (I might could do without his tirades but we all have bad days.)

EVERY time? Really?
I'm getting very very tired of getting on Facebook and seeing post after post that says something like "My life is so awful." or "Pity me please." or "Things just can't get any worse."
Oh My Word! Shut up! (Kiddo would say "No, don't say that it's mean. Say 'Hush'.")
Now I understand that occasionally you have a bad day and you might feel the need to vent a little. I'm all for that. Vent. But come on! EVERY status update?
I'm this close *Holds two fingers very close together* to turning off the feed of at least two frequent pity me facebook updaters.
When someone's status says "I guess I ruined my life. I just destroyed it all." You know what I want to say? "Oh well, that's life." I know it doesn't sound very sympathetic but I'm tired of reading it ALL the time!
Sorry about that. I guess it was my turn to vent.
See? That wouldn't be so hard. Why don't they Get a Blog!?
I'm done now. Have a great day!

Random Tuesday Thoughts!
Happy Random Tuesday everyone! Are you feeling at all random today? If you are you really should share! Grab the box below and head over to Keely's place to join the fun!
1. I know I already said it but . . . Soooo Happy for the New Orleans Saints! What a game!
2. I'm really going to miss football.
3. Craig Ferguson is on Twitter!!!! I'm sooo excited!! THAT was a great birthday gift! (@Craigyferg)
4. Kiddo went to bed last night and I heard him coughing. I though Oh no. Oh yes. He woke up this morning with a full blown cold! I HATE it when my poor Kiddo is sick.
5. Taxes done! Yes! Do I have to wait to spend the money until it actually gets here????
6. Hubby let me make breakfast for dinner last night since it was my birthday. (He doesn't really care for breakfast.) I made homemade sausage. Turkey sausage actually because I didn't have ground pork. It was so good. I was proud of myself. I felt so Amish. (This post is not intended to offend any Amish that may be reading.)
7. We FINALLY got batteries for Kiddo's ClickStart system. I love that thing! He's learning letters and numbers and computer skills. He also LOVES it! (I think we may need new batteries soon. Too bad I haven't found C size rechargable batteries.)
8. I finally changed the ringtones on my phone. I was still listening to Carol of the bells (Trans Siberian Orchestra version) everytime someone called. It's nice to hear something else.
9. I love Half.com. I highly recommend it. I shop there all the time! I bought some movies and stuff there for my birthday. (The money came from others. lol) It's a great site! Check it out!

Saints, Warner, the 8th, Cake . . . (It makes sense, I promise.)
Congratulations to the Saints! So happy!
What a game! I was on the edge of my seat! I sure am going to miss football.
Speaking of "miss" and "football." I really am going to miss Kurt Warner too.
You know, I was watching him give his press conference, when he announced he was retiring and someone asked him something like "You're 38, in football thats old but now you're not old anymore . . .?"
I started thinking. I remember when my Dad turned 40 and I thought. "Wow, my Dad is FORTY!"
Well you know what! Kurt Warner is not really (when you think about it) that much older than I am! When the heck did THAT happen?!?
I used to not mind my birthday . . . but lately I'm feeling kind of up there (And technically, I'm really not!) . . . Maybe we should just skip February 8th and move right on to the 9th.
Alright, I need comfort food . . . someone find me some cake! (Oh yea, there is none of that either, I'M the cake baker around here . . .)

Internet and Friendship
I love the internet.
My best friend lives far far far away in the far away (redundant much?) land of Maine.
She's a wonderful friend. We can (and do) talk to each other about EVERYTHING. It's so nice to have someone like that in your life.
It is hard though that she lives so far away. We saw each other for a week back in September and before that we hadn't seen each other since 2004. The "joys" of living so far apart.
However, thanks to the internet (and VERY frequent text messages) we keep in touch every day.
You know what else is great? Even though we're countless states away from each other we can both watch the same movie, at the same time and enjoy chatting about it!
The internet is amazing for girlfriends who live halfway across the country.
Thank you internet. And thank you Rin for being the greatest friend ever!

HGotW: Channing Tatum
I was talking to my cousin last week and I had a thought that I would do a special HGotW for her. Then, a few days later I was chatting iwth my bestest friend and she requested the Same guy. So, I'm dedicating this post to Chelsea and Rin.
I must admit that I don't think this is a guy I would have come up with on my own. Not that I don't think he's hot, it's just that for some reason he's just not as appealing to me as others.
Anyway, enough of that. This weeks Hot Guy:

Saving the best for last . . .
And there you have it. HGotW: Channing Tatum.
Guys, I haven't forgotten about you.
Eva Mendes
Thanks for stopping by to check out this weeks HGotW. Have a great day everyone!

Creature of the Night (Book Five)
I finished another book Monday night. Well, it was actually very early Tuesday morning. Either way, it's done.
I HATED it!
Creature of the Night
Kate Thompson
1 out of five stars . . . maybe .5 out of five stars.
This book is listed as youth fiction. Therefore the language and themes shocked me. Many uses of the "F word" which in a regular book wouldn't be anything special but in a youth book? Not too mention the many many references to and scenes of drug use and smoking by a Fourteen year old and his 18 year old buddies. I suppose I should also mention the physical and verbal abuse of a four year old that's all over here too.
This book made me sad.
While it's credited with being "Brilliantly written" and a "Gripping thriller" and the author is given many Kudos as to how "marvelous and magical" her writing is this book is no good.
It doesn't feel like the real heart of the story starts until about fifty pages from the end. What happens then? Does it get really gripping and you're totally into it? Nope, nothing happens. The book ends and you never find out what happened/happens to the characters.
Awful. Avoid this book.

Random Tuesday Thoughts!
It's Tuesday! Is anyone feeling Random? Well, if you are then you may click the little box below and pop on over to Keely's blog to read some more Random or participate with your own! Have fun!
1. Going to see When In Rome tonight "with" my friend in Maine. Well, we're both going at the same time but she's going in ME and I'm going here. Silly? Maybe. But still fun. I think I might even get some popcorn. (I never buy popcorn at the movies because the prices are like robbery.)
2. I'm so happy for Anna Kendrick! She's been nominated for an Oscar. For the rest of her life, (if she doesn't win) she'll be "Oscar Nominated Actress Anna Kendrick." (I have the overwhelming desire to write "Take that Kristen Stewart." but I'll try to refrain . . .)
3. Almond Joy Pieces are not near as good as I expected them to be. Still, they're not awful.
4. I want a donut.
5. There are a lot of birthday's in February!
6. Hubby's been going for physical therapy for his knee twice a week. It's an HOUR away! I hate that drive. I'm also running out of things to do while we're there. I think the Kiddo and I are going to check out their library either tomorrow or Friday.
7. Finished an Awful book last night. I'll probably review it tomorrow. I'm still waiting for the library to call me about the other book I have on hold . . .
8. I think I may have asked this before. Has anyone read any James Patterson. I think I may give some of his books a try. (Also is there anyone out there who likes Dan Brown? If so, what other authors would you recommend?)
Have a wonderful Random Tuesday!
