Six Word Saturday, September 11, 2001

The fact that yesterday was the anniversary for September 11, 2001 totally slipped my mind. I am going to try to make up for it today.

I remember. I was living at home with my Dad then. He had gone to work and I was messing around on the internet. When my phone rang I answered it like any other phone call. Who knew what information waited. On the other end of the line was my cousin. She said The World Trade Center was attacked. I thought, "What?" I honestly didn't believe her until I turned on the news.

I was absolutely blown away. All those people. How could someone do such a horribly awful thing? Then we heard about Todd Beamer. That whole thing just gives you a proud feeling.

I'm sure we'll never forget that day or where we were.

Where were you, on that day?

I was a home with my baby getting ready for work. I can still remember sitting with him and my husband watching in utter fear.

I was working at our business, frantically trying to find some place with a television! My sister worked at the White House and was hunkered down with the VP!

I was just going home from work and heard it on the radio first. Even though I am not a US citizen it was shocking for the whole world!

I was at work. We had the suckiest new employee - he lasted less than 2 weeks but I'll never forget him because he's the one that told me about the first plane hitting the WTC.

I was just pulling my car into the parking lot at work. I ran to my classroom and turned on the TV. I couldn't believe it. I still can't believe it.
