Reading (Angels and Demons)

Do we have any readers in the house?? Hehe. I love reading. I decided that this year I was going to read a certain number of books. This number I’m not going to mention because I’m embarrassingly behind.

However, I have read a few. The most recent being Angels and Demons. This is actually the second time I’ve read this book but it’s just so good that I had to read it again. (I enjoyed the movie very much too!)

This book is Robert Langdon’s first adventure. Before the DaVinci Code (Another Awesome book!!) It follows him to the Vatican in an effort to find an antimatter bomb that is threatening to destroy the city. Not too mention trying to stop a crazed killer from publicly executing four priests. All this time the election of the new Pope is happening inside the Vatican.

The characters are great, all of them. So well written. Dan Brown is a master Story teller and I’m eagerly counting down the days (79) until the release of his next book The Lost Symbol (also a Robert Langdon story)! I can’t wait!

I’ve read all of Dan Brown’s book actually and they are all excellent. Highly recommended. Other books that I’ve read recently include:

Tantalize - Cynthia Leitich Smith
Frozen Fire – Tim Bowler
Romeo and Juliet – William Shakespeare (*Sigh* I usually hate, very much, stories with sad endings but this book was just wonderful)
Twilight Series – Stephanie Meyer

Currently I’m reading The Ghost by Robert Harris. I can’t tell you much because I only recently started it. All I can say is that I haven’t lost interest yet.

I haven't read this one yet but I really should. I enjoyed The DaVinci Code. Right now I'm rereading books from childhood, starting with the Anne of Green Gables series. Light summer reading on my porch. Wish I was there now instead of at work...
