We had a Sunday School lesson about Elijah.
During a drought God sent Elijah to live near a brook where he would have water. Of course, Elijah needed more than water to live so everyday ravens would come to Elijah and bring him meat and bread.
The point of the story was that God will provide our needs.
I told the Kiddo's that God probably wasn't going to send them food through birds but they get their food other places.
So I asked "Where do you get your food?"
One young man (5 years old) told me that his Mom bought food at the store.
Then I turned and asked the same question of a four year old girl. "Where do you get your food?"
Her answer: TaMolly's. (In case you don't know what TaMolly's is it's a pretty popular Mexican Restaurant chain around here.)
She totally made my morning.

A Carrot??
Last Sunday our memory verse in Sunday School was "He careth for you."
Monday I received a message on my Facebook page from the Mother of one of my kids.
"Her careth for you." and "A carrot for you" do sound remarkably similar.
In my defense, as her teacher, Lil knew the correct way to say the verse in our class!
I love kids!

"Ok, so Sunday afternoon Lil asks if I want to hear her memory verse, of course I do! She says, very seriously..." A carrot for you." I just laughed and told her what it really was and she got mad at me!! lol"

Random Tuesday Thoughts!
Happy Random Tuesday, Everyone! What does that mean? Well, if you don't know then you need to click the box and find out! Pop over to Keely's blog and get in on the random!
1. You know what's awkward? Following someone on Twitter who follows you, talking to them occasionally and not being sure if they're male or female . . .
2. Speaking of Twitter. Are you on Twitter? Are you a "Team Follow Back" kind of a person? Do you automatically follow the (REAL) people that follow you? Or do people follow you and you leave them hanging out there, following you but not being followed in return. If you don't follow everyone back, do you feel guilty when they talk to you often (and you of course talk to them in return) but you don't follow them? Or is that just me? I already follow too many people. I can't follow everyone back!
3. One of the kids on my Sunday School class was acting up a bit and I told him he had to listen to me or he'd have to go sit with his Grandmother. He said "I'm little." I assumed he meant he was little so he had to stay in my Sunday School class and not go in with the adults. I said "Little?" He said "Yea, I'm little. I haven't learned how to listen yet." Oh really? Child logic cracks me up. I assured him that he was not too little to learn to listen.
4. One thing about Summer coming that makes me happy? The Summer Movie Club House at our movie theatre. A kids movie every Tuesday at ten AM for a buck a person! Yay!
5. Speaking of . . . Is it "Theater" or "Theatre" that is the correct spelling?
6. Temporary Insanity is a ridiculous plea!! I go temporarily insane sometimes too. When I do eat two pieces of cake or I leave the laundry in the washer overnight or I buy that way too expensive item . . . I DON'T KILL PEOPLE!!!
7. If you don't like CNN then Turn it off! If you don't like Fox News then turn it off! Why complain about them all the time?
Is that enough random for today? I think so! If you're in the mood for more random check out Keely's blog OR write your own and Link Up!!
Have a great Random Tuesday!

Thursday
Thursday already?
I know that most people get excited for the weekend and then dread Monday but I think I’m the opposite. You see my least favorite day is Sunday. It’s not that I don’t enjoy attending church and teaching my Sunday school class, because I really do. The thing that I hate is Sunday morning. I hate getting up early and I hate ironing and I hate trying to wake up my husband five hundred times. I hate thinking that we’re going to be late if we don’t walk out the door right now! I just hate all the prep.
Monday makes me happy. Monday means there is a whole week between me and the next Sunday morning. (Plus Craig Ferguson is on Monday, after missing for the weekend, and I’m a big Craig Ferguson fan. When I can stay awake.)
I just realized that I talked all about Sunday and Monday and today is neither.
We have a ladies get together tonight. The ladies from our church try to get together one Thursday evening a month and hang out and talk and eat. I’m not sure yet what kind of snacks I’ll take with me. I guess I should figure that out!
Anyway, it’s Thursday. Have a great Thursday everyone!
